Chipped Sony Playstation 1 (PS1) with proper CSYNC and dual PAL/NTSC crystals. Boot CD-R/import games region-free!

Boot CD-R or original japanese/american/euro games region-free (8wire MultiMode3 modchip installed)! RGB CSYNC modded for high quality output to HDTVs/upscalers. Dual oscillators for precise PAL/NTSC timings. Laser assembly professionally re-calibrated to optimize CD read speeds (even CD drives that are on their last leg can usually be restored. If not, I replace the drive entirely).

Play all your childhood games in the highest possible quality. My consoles function better than they did when they were manufactured! I, Leah Rowe, am deeply passionate about retro games and I want to bring you the best possible quality. See below for more specific technical information.

Full documentation is included with each console, so that you can get in-game immediately.

Here you can see a video of exactly how I do all these mods:

Each console comes with 1 power cable, 1 RGB SCART cable, 1 controller, 1 memory card and all orders come with a 2 year warranty as standard. After I’m done with each system, I estimate that it will last at least another 5 years of normal use. 2nd controller+memcard available for 30 GBP +UKVAT

Price per unit: 58 GBP (plus 20% British VAT if shipping to UK or EU). Shipping worlwide, exporting from the UK. Email your name/address and I will send you an invoice. Payment accepted via wire transfer (BACS, ACH, SEPA, SWIFT, etc.)

Shipping: 15 GBP for UK. 35 GBP for EU. 60 GBP for the rest of the world.

NOTE: as of 11 December 2019 my emails are a mess (from my other company). If you wish me to respond quickly, DM me on my twitter: - I will give you payment instructions and attach an invoice. Tell me your name, address and email.

Alternatively, pay 150 GBP and send your unmodified PS1 to me. I will do the same mods. I will provide you with a suitable shipping address.

NOTE: Internal power supply rated for 240V. Works in most countries but some countries like Japan/USA/Canada use 110V wall sockets. If you live in a 110V country, buy a replacement power supply rated for 110V PS1s - they are easy to install. Just remove the screws underneath the console and lift off the case. the PSU is on the left; remove the 2 screws, take it out and simply put the new one in. I can do this for you, if you send me it (I have a 240-110v step-down transformer here to test with)

Mod info

MM3 stealth modchip. Allows CD-R and import games to boot, region free (these two photos are of a later SCPH 1002 model, with the 208-pin GPU):

Dual oscillator mod for PAL / NTSC crystal clocks. This allows the correct vsync speeds for european and american/japanese games:

(without this mod, PAL playstations have a vsync of about 59.3mhz for NTSC, which is off-spec and causes compatibility issues, aswell as colour problems on CVBS/SVideo)

Red LED installed and connected to laser assembly power rail, so that it flashes during disc reads (not really needed, but I think this is cool):

Composite sync modification: composite video line replaced with attenuated 75 ohm csync. Pin 156 of the GPU outputs 3V TTL csync. I connect a 510 ohm resistor and 220uF 4V cap in series to the composite video line. PS1 normally uses composite video for sync when using RGB SCART, causing diagonal jailbars to appear on the screen (noticeable on modern HDTVs). This mod results in superior video quality on the RGB output, with severely reduced jailbar noise:
